A Fort Myers septic problem can show up as a slow drain, a wet patch, or a backup at a very bad time. Call the office and a real person answers. We will hear what is happening, tell you what the visit is for, and put you on the schedule.

Fort Myers is Southwest Environmental’s home town. The office and yard sit at 17551 Rockefeller Cir, Fort Myers, FL 33967, so the truck starts here before heading to a local property.
Septic is still part of the local wastewater picture, even as sewer work moves through nearby neighborhoods. Across the river in North Fort Myers, a utility project is changing homes in Yacht Club Colony from septic tanks to sewer. A nearby conversion does not change your system until your address is actually connected.
The wet season can make a working system look troubled. The water table is high for much of the year and reaches its highest point roughly from June to October. A drain field is the buried area that lets treated wastewater soak into the ground, and saturated soil can leave less room for that water to move.

Call (239) 225-2255 when drains slow in more than one room, the yard smells, or sewage is coming back into the house. A real person answers and asks what you are seeing. That first conversation helps us send the visit your property needs.
At the home, the crew checks access, locates the tank when needed, and looks at the level before pumping. We inspect the tank and the path toward the drain field, then explain the condition in plain words. If the issue is a repair rather than a pump out, you will know what we found before deciding on the next step.
Lee County permitting has its own path. Florida moved the septic program from the Department of Health to the Department of Environmental Protection, but a Lee County permit still goes through the county health department office. We can point you to that step when a repair or new system requires it.
Routine pumping, an inspection before a sale, and urgent service all start with the same office. We work with Fort Myers homeowners who know their tank is due and with people who have just found water or a bad smell in the yard.
For help in Fort Myers, call (239) 225-2255. It is the direct office line, and a real person answers.
Across the river in North Fort Myers, the Florida Governmental Utility Authority is converting about 253 homes in the Yacht Club Colony neighborhood from septic tanks to sewer.
Florida's septic permit program moved from the Department of Health to the Department of Environmental Protection on July 1, 2021. Permitting has fully shifted to the state agency only in the sixteen Panhandle counties and Marion County, so a Lee County septic permit still goes through the county health department office.

It can. Southwest Florida's water table is high for much of the year and highest from roughly June to October, so a drain field may sit in saturated ground for weeks. A wet yard or high tank level is a reason to call the office.
Yes. The office and yard are at 17551 Rockefeller Cir, Fort Myers, FL 33967, so the crew starts close to local homes. Call (239) 225-2255 and a real person answers to arrange the visit.
A Lee County septic permit still goes through the county health department office. If your repair or system work needs a permit, we will explain that part before the work moves ahead.
